Pray Attention To Friday the 13th
This Friday the 13th I set a prayer guard over your faith and finances. There is an attack of lack that is about to test your willingness to trust God. The enemy wants to draw you away from relying and depending on God’s way of doing things. He wants your doubt about money to bring you into rebellion to the Word of God. Stand and withstand the wiles of the devil. Obey and honor God first!
Triskaidekaphobia is the fear of the number of thirteen. Why is the number 13 considered an unlucky number? Why won’t most hotels in the world have a 13th floor? Why do airlines avoid numbering any of their fleets or routes 13? Why is the number 13 connected to the occult? Why is Friday the 13th a day dreaded by many?
From Genesis to Revelation the number 13 in the Bible represents and reveals rebellion against the order and government of God. In Genesis 13:13 (NLT) we read, “But the people of this area were extremely wicked and constantly sinned against the LORD”. In Revelation 13:1 (NLT) we read, “Then I saw a beast rising up out of the sea. It had seven heads and ten horns, with ten crowns on its horns. And written on each head were names that blasphemed God”.
“The dragon” is mentioned 13 times in the Book of Revelation. The dragon represents an end-time revolt and rebellion against God.
In the Bible the “Valley of Hinnom” is mentioned 13 times. It is the place where babies were sacrificed to the idol god Molech. It was the place of ritual rebellion.
King Solomon built a palace for himself, and it took him 13 years to complete the construction. After he moved into his palace his life was in rebellion to God with his pagan wives and their idolatry.
There are at least 13 famines mentioned in the Bible. Famines are often judgments against national rebellion.
In Mark 7 Jesus mentions 13 things that will defile a person.
The primary reason for all rebellion is idolatry. The reason Adam and Eve committed rebellion against God is in order to “become as gods”. There is no idol god or false religion greater than “mammon” (Luke 16). Money is the false altar of the world.
Mammon is the spirit of money. The spirit of money demands to be worshipped. Money wants to rule your decision. Money wants to control your peace of mind. Money, the spirit behind it, wants to be loved (I Timothy 6:10). Mammon is deceitful. Money wants to control hearts and minds (Mark 4:19).
On the dollar bill America professes its religion and rebellion. “In God We Trust”. The god America trust is the money it mints. 98% of all elected officials in Washington are millionaires. The current President’s cabinet has more billionaires than any other in the nation’s history. Capitalism is the power of the dollar. The Golden Rule of America is, “Whoever gets the gold gets the rule”. The dollar bill is the global sign and token of American worship.
Take a look at the dollar bill and its connection to the number 13. There are 13 arrows being held by the eagle, 13 stars above the eagle, 13 leaves on the olive branches, 13 berries on the olive branch, 13 steps on the pyramid, 13 letters in E PLURIBUS UNUM. 13 letters in ANNUIT COEPTIS, 13 vertical bars on the shield, and 13 horizontal stripes at the top of the shield.
