January 11th (5:00am-5:00pm) and January 13th (7:14pm-7:14am), 2018. The Holy Spirit has called us to launch strategic spiritual warfare prayer and fasting on these two days. These two days are spiritually significant. We have entered into this year under siege. The enemy has plans against our “great grace” and the “Raise The Grace” campaign. These first 21 days must be sanctified and secured in prayer.
The number 11 in biblical numerology represents pride and confusion. (See Genesis 11). The number 13 in biblical numerology represents strife and rebellion. (See Genesis 13). We are going to stand in the gap and interrupt the plans of the enemy. This year pride and confusion, strife and rebellion will not take root in any atmosphere where we work, worship or rest. During the fast we are raising the standard (See Isaiah 1:17-19, 59:19).
Our vision is to fast and pray in order to release peace and restrict rebellion. We want to see the power and purpose of God done in the days in which we live. “In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes” (Daniel 9:2-3). “I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled (Daniel 10:3).
Daniel knew that his people were at a prophetic tipping point. They were stuck in Babylon (the place of confusion and rebellion). According to the written and revealed will of God it was now time to leave the confusion and rebellion.
He went into prayer and fasting. He prays for the prophetic plans of God to manifest according to the times in which he lived. We too are called to pray for God to manifest His prophetic plans in our own generation! The prayer and the fasting revealed the warfare that was happening in the heavenlies. “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia’ (10:13).
Fasting on the 11th and the 13th will be a spiritual counter offensive against the devices and deeds of every devil that wants to create confusion and release rebellion. The fast will exclude from our consumption all meats, breads, desserts, candies, sweet drinks, and alcoholic beverages. (See James 3:14-18).
